STREAT THEATER GROUP ORGANISE PICNIC

THE STREET THEATER GROUP organised picnic at Godaweri dam at kherwara 0n 09-03-2008 to discuss the future plans and enjoyed the event by rehearsal of songs,games and discussion related to people's culture.The team is writting Songs in bhajan style in local dialect Vagari.The songs are created and improvise by a the team members to expose the corruption and system.They are also collecting the old folk songs and spreading them again among youths.Most of the folk songs are related with their collective life and work,the nature,the human relations and the hardship of the life.There are many songs of the peoples struggle against the British and the feudal exploitation.

PAL CHITARIA ( Dadwah) Massacre Remembered on 07 March 2008


PAl CHITARIA Massacre remembered by JYS Kherwara on march 7th 2008.Pal Chitaria is a place on Gujarat and Rajasthan boarder.This is a forest area and the majority of population is tribal.Tens of thousands of people were gathered here to fight against British Raj,Udaipur maharana (King) and land lord of Ider(Vijaynagar) under the leadership of Motilal tejawat and the tribal leaders (as part of consistent struggle) on 07 March 1922.These innocent people were surrounded by the three forces and specially by Mewar Bhil Core (Formed by British in 1941) and massacred more then 1200 people.The dead bodies were dropped into the wells of the area after looted the bodies.The rulers tried their best to finish the evidences and they were successful for long time.It is surprissing that this case was not opened after 1947.
Recently some social workers and historians gathered the evidences.Than the organisations working for the tribal upliftment are spreading the truth of this massacre.The JYS is organising it as Martyers Day from last 4 years.

JYS organise a meeting and distributed leaflet about the massacre.JYS decided to spread the mesaage of that movement among the masses.The organisation declared that this fight was aganst the colonial rule and exploitation.The speakers analyse the present situation with the conditions of those days.

The shoap workers organised


The shopworkers organised themselves for better working conditions,Higher wages and implementation of shop and commercial Act.These workers were impressed by the organisation of unorganised workers conference.They called a meeting and became member of Janwadi Majdoor Union.The formed their 9 members leading committee and went to the every shop of the town.Distributed leaflet and send a memorandum to different shop keepers associations.They are making members and organising themselves for future negotiation and struggle.
