Village to village meetings of Unorganised Labour

The unorganized workers Union decided the wage- 200Rs per day for Messon,100 Rs. per day for the Helper. There was difference between the wages of the male and female helper in the First Big Meeting but it was equalized up to the first conference of the workers. Most of the workers are asserting for the wages decided by the Union.

The logic of male workers is very interesting. They believe that the female workers are doing more work than the mails so the contractors are giving more opportunities to female workers and the male helpers are not getting regular jobs. There may be many more reasons behind this logic. But the leadership of Union was much happy by the demand of equal wages which was coming up from the below. One more interesting phenomenon is developing that the women workers are organizing themselves and the attitude of male workers, mesons and the contractors is changing. It is also very good sign that the family atmosphere is becoming more democratic. Some times the workers wives are threatening them to complaint to the Union.

The workers and the Union is thinking for the wages of another workers and some of the workers are organising themselves spontaneously and informing to the Union for further guidance. The workers are demanding for education and classes.

The Union leaders are approaching door to door for the better relations and workers awareness. The leadership is constantly learning about the situation of the workers and constantly thinking for the upliftment of whole family. The main points of discussion is health, education, agriculture and the unity for the wages of all kind of workers.

The union is organizing processions and public meetings in different panchayats (Cluster of villages) to spread the message of higher wage and the unity among the village people to think for the betterment of whole village
